Consistency

This year, I had one big personal goal to keep in mind. I wanted to be more consistent in writing and posting here. The goal is to post here at least every 2 weeks. I’m not one who requires something to be posted on the day, but within reason. Given that it is Christmas, there is sufficient data this year to determine if the goal was met.
Total post count: 26
Frequency of posts: Every 14 days
Not only was I successful in achieving this goal, but I hit the target exactly. Clearly, this is a cadence that works well for me. This year, I did not feel a sense of guilt or pressure to contribute to the blog. Much of it felt natural, as the ideas came in, I generally tackled one of them in a timely fashion to get posted.
Not everything was perfect in executing on the goal. As with any creative activity, there are ebbs and flows of ideas. At times when a surplus of ideas entered my head, I would write as many of them as I could. With these staged posts. I would get lazy and not contribute to the blog, eventually running out of staged posts and having to get the creative wheel rolling again. Part of the improved 2026 goal is to execute on writing posts with more consistency.
For 2026, my goal is to focus more on this single word. Applying it to other areas of my life. The world is only getting busier, committing to consistency means that prioritization is going to be a critical skill.
